Having served on the School Committee as a student representative, Meagan understands the significance of transparency in building trust and fostering a collaborative educational community, and is committed to addressing key issues related to transparency through the following initiatives:

Ensuring Decisions are Communicated to Parents, Staff, and Students:

• This one is simple. Meagan believes in the importance of open communication and pledges to ensure that decisions made by the school committee are promptly and transparently communicated to parents, staff, and students. She envisions a school district where stakeholders are informed about the reasoning behind decisions, and, as much as possible, are taken along through the process, fostering a sense of trust and understanding among the community.

Holding School and District Administrators Accountable:

• To uphold the highest standards of transparency, Meagan will advocate for accountability within school and district administration. She is dedicated to establishing clear expectations for administrators and implementing measures to ensure that decisions are made ethically and in the best interest of the community. 

Welcoming Honest Feedback from Community Members:

• Meagan believes that transparency involves not only sharing information but also actively listening to the concerns and suggestions of community members. She is committed to creating avenues for honest feedback, such as town halls, surveys, and community forums, where parents, teachers, and other educational stakeholders can voice their opinions. Meagan sees feedback as an essential tool for continuous improvement and collaborative decision-making.
